This is hand shaped blown glass off the pipe, with a multilayered coloration using glass rod, cane and sterling silver leaf. It has a flat cut with a polished top. Randi Solin, of Solinglass Studios, creates one of a kind pieces born out of a love for the act of glass blowing and its optical properties. Solin incorporates techniques found in both classic Venetian glassblowing and the American art glass movement. Solin considers each piece a composition, and atypical to glass blowing in general, they have a "front". Each piece is intended to be picked up by the viewer, to look into its interior life.
