    Collections of the Smithsonian are starting to be cataloged online with digitized images. You can browse in the Highlights area or Search for images and catalog listings.   • Perseus Project: Online Coin Catalog
    The Perseus Project and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston are pleased to announce the second illustrated Web catalog of ancient art from the MFA. Over 775 ancient coins from the MFA's celebrated collection are now illustrated, with 1,500 pictures, in the Perseus coin catalog.

  • Sue at the Field Museum
    Discovered in South Dakota in 1990, Sue was purchased by the Chicago Field Museum in 1997 and went on display this week. At the site, visitors can learn about Sue and her history, how the skeleton was prepared for display, some quick facts, a FAQ, and an image gallery.

  • Fighting Dinosaurs
    This site comes from the American Museum of Natural History and serves as a companion to a new exhibit highlighting recent discoveries from Mongolia, including one of the most famous finds ever: a Velociraptor that was apparently buried alive by a sand flow while attacking a Protoceratops.

    A site about light and color. Very detailed information is provided about the nature of color, forms of light, the eye and how we see. There are activities to participate in as you follow a guided path through the site.

  • The Schooner Ernestina
